We are husband and wife, both professionals and have hosted more than 50 female students from 15 different countries. We can host up to four students at once. We recently said goodbye to three girls, one each from Russia and two from Italy. Our three current students are from Columbia, China and Brazil. We are now accepting new students starting in October, 2013.
Availability of our bedrooms varies, so please inquire. They are fully furnished private rooms (including all towels and linens) in our 6 bedroom 13 room home, located in Boston\\\'s historic South Dorchester neighborhood between Ashmont and Lower Mills located 1 mile from the beautiful town of Milton. Breakfast and dinner are included each day as part of your stay. One of our rooms can be configured to be a sharing room with two twin beds.
Your living space includes your own bathroom and a second upstairs full service kitchen (both occasionally shared by students) including washer, dryer and dishwasher, HDTV and Digital Video Recorder (Including hundreds of cable channels like HBO, Showtime & On-Demand) as well as high-speed wireless broadband internet. All utilities are included (water, gas, heat and electricity). We also provide, at no additional charge, a regular maid and cleaning service. Lastly, we also offer FREE arrival and departure transportation between Logan International Airport and our Homestay. More pictures of our Homestay can be viewed at:
Since our 2 daughters have recently graduated college and relocated, we\\\'ve enjoyed sharing some of the space in our home with like-kind studious and affable female foreign exchange and/or college students. The upstairs is newly renovated and comfortably furnished. Lots of peace and quiet, desk, flat-screen TV, wireless broadband internet, comfortable outside gazebo. 5-7 minute walk from T (buses and subway); 15 minutes by subway to downtown Boston; 30 minutes by subway to Harvard Square.
Our family particularly enjoys music, reading and learning, fashion and style, culinary arts and exercising. We are also able to speak Spanish and French. We do have a cat but she is not allowed upstairs where your room(s) are and she hides most of the time anyway.
Also, you should know that the nearby Ashmont Train Station completed a 40 million dollar renovation inn 2011 and is the newest stop on the Red Line now. A huge luxury condominium complex has been built next to it with two excellent restaurants, bank and coffee shop nearby. Also the adjacent Lower Mills area, a 6 minute walk from here has great shops (coffee, antiques, art, health food, gym, yoga, ice cream, many restaurants, post office, churches, banks, a public library, a Shaws supermarket, a converted chocolate factory for artists space and condos. So this area continues to be up and coming area as it has for the last 5-6 years. Read this recent article from the Boston Globe about Lower Mills:

Finally, we charge $1000/month for a private room and $870/month for a sharing room. We offer great food, good company and a chance to advance your English skills with an English speaking family. We hope that you will come and visit!
